JUAN ESTEBAN GALLO

As a young Colombian born in the XXI century, I have always believed in the value of education and making the most of all opportunities I am offered. Be it excelling academically, embracing leadership roles, representing my school and country in diverse activities, or playing a sport, I have developed through the education I have received and my life experiences a vast repertoire of abilities and skills exemplified throughout this webpage. 

I was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, where I have attended Colegio Anglo Colombiano for 14 years. I am currently in the second year of the IB Diploma, and will graduate in May of 2022. I am looking to attend college abroad, to hopefully gain the necessary skills and experience to return and make a dent in the society that built me into the person I am today. 

I intend to major in Economics and Mathematics, but my academic interests range from astrophysics to literature. I have always been a passionate reader, as I have found in books the ideal medium through which to explore and discover the world and its issues. At the same time, I enjoy the rational models offered by mathematics, a discipline in which I have excelled, and their role as gateways to understanding everything around me through logic and patterns.
